The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced its official recognition of the Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge international Diploma in IT Skills, co-signed by the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI) and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), and its endorsement "as a solid non-commercially oriented program for promoting computer literacy".

The diploma is offered in all 22  Arab countries, in Arab and in English, online and through training courses, to candidates with different cultural backgrounds and of all ages, and is adaptable to the computer level of each individual, and does not require full-time study.

William Bickerdike, Regional Manager Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan Of University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), said that "this comes after TAGI, as a valued Cambridge Partner, has worked successfully with CIE over a number of years providing high quality IT education throughout the Arab World".

The Ministry of Education in Kuwait Accredited the Cambridge International Diploma in IT Skills

The Cambridge International Diploma Award Program in IT Skills – Arabic version was accredited by The Ministry of Education in Kuwait, the accreditation was made according to the decision of H. E. Dr. Rashid Hamad Al Hamad the Minister of Education and Minster of High Education.

The minister decision was circulated to all schools and government departments in the Ministry of Education in Kuwait. Also, it is worth mentioning that Cambridge Certificates was accredited by different ministries and institutions in the Arab world, also it was approved by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Abu-Ghazaleh Award in IT Skills officially accredited in Jordan

The Ministry of Education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan accredited the new version of the International Abu-Ghazaleh/Cambridge Award Program in IT Skills. This new version comprises seven modules as follows:

Introduction to IT        MS Access
Windows                   MS Power Point
MS Word                   The Internet
 
MS Excel   

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Education requires its employees to obtaining this approved certificate to qualify for salary increments and promotion.

Abu-Ghazaleh/Cambridge IT Training Center is preparing to disseminate this program to all schools in Jordan through its centers in the various cities. This will be achieved by downloading the examination curriculum, the trainers’ training material and the relevant supervision and monitoring tools, for quality control purposes under the management of International Cambridge Examinations.

The Center’s management has developed an integrated action plan to implement this program in Jordan and all Arab countries.

Mr. Salah Abu-Osbeh, the Executive Director of Abu-Ghazaleh/Cambridge IT Training Center, pointed out that this program has became one of the essentials in our days, for its technological professional content to promote internet and computer literacy in an era when the use computer became one of the business basics and life requirements.

Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Accredits Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge Award

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Jordan approved Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge Program to train all government employees under the umbrella of the Conversion Program Toward E-Government.

After the graduation of the first course group, the Center is preparing to receive another group of government employees for similar training. The conversion program is scheduled to last till 2005 and to accommodate more than twenty thousand employees.


Agreement Signed with Bahrain Training Institute

Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge Center signed a cooperation agreement with the Bahrain Training Institute affiliated with the Ministry of Labor in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The agreement was signed through AGCC’s branch center in Manamah: “Al-Amthal for Consultancy and Computer”, whereby Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge Program has been approved as an essential program for skills and employee training.
